About
This futuristic skating game is all about freedom of movement and player choice. Players can cruise through the world at their own pace, exploring the environment and pulling off hoverboard tricks, or switch into a high-intensity speedrun mode that pushes skill and precision. Strategically placed checkpoints create a natural time-trial flow, encouraging players to refine their routes, optimize movement, and master advanced tricks to shave seconds off their runs.

My Contributions
Hoverboard System
I designed and implemented the hoverboard control system, focusing on responsive inputs and precise rotation handling to support trick-based gameplay. The system allows players to perform tricks such as kickflips and pop shove-its by translating directional input and timing into controlled board rotation. Emphasis was placed on making tricks feel readable and consistent, while still rewarding skill and practice. This created a solid foundation for expressive movement and combo potential within both free-roam exploration and speedrun-focused gameplay.
Boost System
I implemented the hoverboard boost system, giving players a burst of speed that enhances flow and momentum during traversal and speedruns. The boost mechanics were designed to feel responsive and controllable, allowing players to strategically use it to optimize routes and maintain high-speed movement. Alongside this, I integrated boost visual effects that clearly communicate activation, speed, and direction, reinforcing player feedback while enhancing the overall sense of speed and impact.
